Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Morning Drop-Off Procedure

Middle School students should be dropped off in the morning in the front of the school by the Main Office. Drivers will need to take the “Parent Loop” dropping off the students at the front of the school. The “Parent Loop” is utilized so we can allow our numerous buses and car riders to access our grounds safely and orderly. Drivers will turn off of HWY DD, take a right circling around the front parking lot, take a right going behind the school by our athletic fields, make a U-turn by the bus parking heading back towards the front, make a right at the front of our building, yield at the crosswalk for anyone crossing, and pull as far forward as possible. Peak drop off time is between 7:15-7:35. To ensure the safety and orderly morning drop-off procedure, the front parking lot’s exit into the front drive will be closed and not allow “cut-thru’s”. Parents wishing to park will need to exit into the beginning of the “Parent Loop” and complete the entire drive around the “Parent Loop” to exit our grounds. Afternoon Pick-Up Procedure

Middle School students should be picked up in the afternoon in the front of the school by the main office. Like the morning drop-off procedures, drivers will need to take the “Parent Loop” to pick up the students. Drivers need to pull all the way forward and wait for the students to exit the building. Once you have your student, carefully pull into the left lane to exit the grounds. When a car in front of you exits, please pull all the way forward. If you see your student as you are pulling forward, continue to pull forward allowing the cars behind you to do the same, and have your student meet you when you have pulled all the way forward. ALL parents need to utilize the loop and follow the process. Please do not “cut thru” and park in the lot. We have a system in place to keep traffic moving. Important Safety Note

Under no circumstances should a Middle School student be discharged from the car anywhere except the designated drop off areas which is anywhere along the sidewalk along the front side and the front of our building. Middle School students will not be permitted to enter the building except by the front doors. Parents may park in the parking lot during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up times but will need to exit the parking lot using the “Parent Loop.”

General Rules for All

  • Drive as far up in the lane as directed - this can reduce everyone’s wait-time significantly.
  • Do not linger in drop off/pick up areas to talk with children, parents, drivers.
  • Have student’s backpacks, gear, etc. inside the car with them instead of trunk to expedite exiting.
  • Be respectful of all faculty/staff, maintenance support, security, parents, and students.
